Hi Im from Latvia, have been working in UK for some time so the country is very close to my heart. Now back at home and looking for alternative healing ways to fight my Bronchiectasis.Have been visiting doctor in UK not the professional but local GP the attitude was quite ignorant (foreigner?) I have my diagnosis of bronchiectasis for 8 years. Initial they say but has made my life miserable. Constant flareups has me down every 3-4 month for weeks. The last time went down just after xmas with the flu and still recovering from that. Want to share the local herbal treatment with fellow sufferers it seems to be working for me. This is just 2nd week Im doing my herbal tea so it is early to say but the effects are already showing. Mucus is so much easy to cough up an the general feeling is so much better gone is the constant feeling of tiredness. Hope this will go on and I will get better by taking the tea. The name of the tea is chaga that grows on birch trees and are found in abundance here where I live. Every one can research the benefits of this plant in google it really seems to help me. If you would like me to post some updates let me know.

Rukets I checked online and it seems to be mushrooms?? Is that what the product is made from??

Yes it is a mushroom and it grows on trees most commonly birch trees. I have read about medicine made out of the chaga but I prefer the natural way. Still not sure what the best way to prepare the tea is some suggest to boil it but others say no more than 80 degrees celsius water I stick with second because I believe the boiling destroys the good stuff. Australis might be hard to get this stuff because it grows just in cold climats but You might want to try the manufactured products from the chaga. I was not aware of this plant too and as it seems to help me I want to share it with others because I know first hand how debilitating bronchiecstasis can be.

Interesting. As I hadn't heard of it before, I looked it up on chagatea.org

Like you I try herbal stuff and use oregano oil to kill viruses. Can you consult a local herbalist to find the best way to prepare it? You probably have wonderful herbalists in Latvia as traditional medicine has not died out yet?? Keep us posted and good luck! All the best.

Hi can you tell me how you use the oregano oil. I bought some but was unsure what to do with it as it was very strong.

Thanks

Corin

Hi Corin - I put about 5 drops in some water, hold my nose and drink! Start with one or two drops and work up. It has worked well for me.

Good to hear you are feeling better. It is my experience too that docs in the UK are often ignorant when it comes to alternative health approaches. I don’t get the foreigner treatment luckily as I’ve been here for a long time, but I don’t mention supplements any more ...apart from NAC and Serrapeptase because these seem to be universally helpful when you have a lung condition with mucus. So thank you for mentioning chaga. Unfortunately I have to be careful with anything that is grown from mushrooms/ fungi, but I’m sure it’ll help others!

As far as I know there is no side effects to the tea and no way to overdose but I guess every person is different an one should be careful before consuming large quantities of the tea. For me at the moment the more the better, had been a long time since I had so easy to cough up the mucus, hope it is not just some coincidence since Im not using anything else.

Will do, if it will work for me there is no reason it could not work for others and the tea has much more benefits wich can be researched on internet.

Have looked into this and wont be able to use it as I have rheumatoid arthritis, which is such a shame as Im sure this would have been a great benefit to my lung problems. Good luck to you x
