Missed you all but now I’m back. Hope everyone is ok, I’ve not had chance yet to read up on what I have missed.
I’m feeling a lot better these days and as you predicted I would get used to this home oxygen malarkey and now I’m so used to it I forget it’s on sometimes and nearly flipping strangle myself !
Just wanted to let you all know that my breathlessness, although not cured by the oxygen, has eased more than 70%. Last week my husband had a bit of trouble catching up with me. I started to ‘diet’ although I don’t like the word diet and I’ve lost half a stone up to now by just eating smaller portions and reducing my bread and Lurpak intake. Because of dodgy knees and dicky hip it’s nigh impossible to breakdance, however, I decided to put Smooth FM on IPad and oh those 60s and 70s sure enough make me wiggle. Losing inches as well as weight which is fab, so, incentive all round to drop around 2 stone for my son’s (2nd) flipping wedding in September. Jeez I thought you only helped out with boys weddings not have to part with life savings again... Anyway it’s only money, what’s more important is me ridding myself of my ‘bumbag’ sitting around let’s say just below tummy button. Only need a zip on it and I can safely store my phone, debit card and keys 🤣
My overall thinking has shifted too, I feel more positive about going through all these tests etc and just waiting to have Echo on 6th along with LFT and more arterial bloods but, if the outcome is better, then I’m going for it.
Sats are so much better these days and are even maintaining when I’m off the O2 which is good and I’ve not had to use my inhaler for a while.
So, as you can see I’m just a tiny bit positive at the moment, will keep you updated on the next round of tests.
Love to you all and here’s to Spring 🌸🌼🌹🌺🌻🌾🍀 Julie xxxx

Thank you Sassy you go for it. I have an app on my phone which has been an absolute godsend and you can scan anything with it even out in supermarket 🌼
Hi Julie, Welcome Back and so Positive also. So happy for the new way you are dealing with your Condition. Yes, I used to get Caught around the ankles and Head by the Tubing,( would forget I had it on and the Tube would Yank me back), now it's all Plumbed in by the Oxygen Maintenance Man, so much easier to move around the home. I have had all the Tests that your going to have, not to worry about them, your in Good hands Hun. Here's to a New you Chic, Happy spring also. Love n Big Hugs. Carolina xxxxx
Get this app for your phone it logs steps and exercise too, as well as anything you eat. Plus, you spend lots of time looking at it and working stuff out it takes your mind off other things, especially if you suffer from anxiety. Tbh it’s been a saviour for me as I love working things out and getting things just right so now at the end of the day I have that many cals left I could have a Sunday dinner. Obviously I don’t though but I do treat myself with leftover cals to maybe 4 jelly babies (my passion) or 4 squares of Galaxy or maybe both 😄x
I do have a Fitbit and have recorded my Steps every day for the last 2 Years , I always try to Compete against myself. I have ordered a New Up to Date Fit Bit and will sync it to my Phone with all the Apps. Thank You Hun. XXXX
Hello, reading your pist inspired me and uplifted me. I hope you can continue feeling better. Thank you for posting , it’s so good to hear positive posts when you’re feeling down and rather anxious as i have been for a few weeks.
Hiya, I was so down the first few weeks too, especially having spent Christmas in hospital then coming home to this. I have just adjusted everything even shopping trips to fit with me and this and it’s working out at the moment. I too suffer from anxiety but strangely enough it appears to have taken a backseat recently, perhaps because I have lots more to think about at the moment concentrating on becoming Manchester’s next top model 🤣
Hope you can retain the inspiration I might have given you and good luck. 💕
Thank you. I was told i had copd 11 years ago and for the last 2 winters i’m sure it’s got worse, and it upsets me. I have medication. Shouldn’t feel sorry for myself as there are so many people far worse off. I try to live each day and not think beyond, but it’s difficult.
It's good to have you back and lovely to hear how well you are doing it's fantastic news. You sound so happy and positive, what an inspiration to is all. Have a lovely weekend and take care of yourself 😊 Bernadette xx
A tiny bit positive? You sound positively upbeat! What a lovely, cheerful post - it really made me smile. Good luck with the 'diet' and the wiggling - look forward to seeing you on the catwalk before too long😄😄
Hey Penny, so pleased I’ve cheered you up 🌼 my aim, always is to laugh, because there is much sorrow around us on a daily basis. That aside, I have such a wicked sense of humour so I’ll just carry on cheering you gals n guys up if I may. Thanks for heads up I didn’t know there was a weight watch section so I’m headed over there right now, catch you later. x
Hi Julier, good to have you back and so glad to hear you are feeling better and sooooo positive, its great. I know what you mean regarding the wriggle when favourite music is on. The physio said to try bending knees when at the sink to help my muscles, which is easy if music is on, I do this everyday when preping dinner, if my back is ok. Sounds like you have a good plan for your catwalk diet ready for wedding in September, you'll be a real dazzler, keep up the good work hun xx
Awe thank you so much. I do little exercises at the sink or chopping board too just keeps me focused on everything. I just want to feel comfortable and I can honestly say I’m beginning to feel it now. Back handles are reducing 🤣
Well I think you are doing just great, you will knock them dead come September. Am waiting for my back to ease up and my ra flare up to go then its onwards and upwards. Keep it up x
