Tigers,You could either do a 6 min walk test where you walk as far as you can in 6 mins at your own pace or more likely do the Shuttle walk test where you walk backwards and forwards over a 10 mtr course at a speed dictated by a machine that beeps.there are a possible 12 levels to achieve but virtually only athletes can accomplish that and you stop when you can no longer keep up with the machine.

Hi tigers69.

Are you doing this in preparation for some test perhaps?

I ask because I started P. Rehab this week and the walking test is what they use to assess your fitness level at the start and end of the course.

If you are doing 10 minutes on the treadmill you are in pretty good shape, so will have nothing to be concerned about.

Let us know how you get on please. Good wishes,

it not for a test i have done p rehab and now i just go to a gym with my wife and i was doing just 8 mins but though the test was 10 min walk as i hopping to tell them i may need my oxygen turning down
