Hi Lasagn .
I think having acid reflux can definitely impact on your asthma. Sometimes the acid can cause some damage to the lining of the throat, airways and lungs. This can make breathing more difficult.
Some years ago I had acid reflux so I know a bit about it. It's important to take your asthma meds to control your symptoms. Try to sleep with your upper body raised but not bent. Don't eat a lot before sleep, eat small meals. A very full tummy can aggravate it much more. Stay away from spicy food, alcohol , chocolate fizzy drinks and caffeine. Don't wear tight clothing, that just makes it worse and maintain a healthy weight.
I can sympathise. It is really uncomfortable. Take it easy and I hope you have some relief soon.
Warm wishes to you.

Some reflux exacerbates asthma. Treat the reflux, asthma improves. Ranitidine or Zantac are fabulous!
I have COPD and silent reflux and if you research both you will find there is lots of info out there as there is a connection.Caspiana has given you some sound advice to follow, and perhaps you could get an appt with the practice nurse to ease your concerns?
Good wishes and do let us know how you get on.
