41/2 years ago my husband, Chris, was discharged from the freeman as his sarc had gone into remission and Transplant didn’t need to be considered anyomore. We drank a lot of Champaign and carried on with life. After a bought of pneumonia and flu last year he has needed 24/7 O2 and had deteriorated quite a bit so today we were back at the Freeman satellite clinic in Edinburgh. Not as scary this time because at least we know how this bit goes and we feel safe with them but sad none the less. We have a wee bottle of champagne squirrelled away though just in case 😉
