Well last few days have been intresting DWP asked Tribunal to throw my appeal out.
As Human Rights Breaches was mentioned with regard COERCION mental health anxiety stress.
All good stuff like that ... the smart ass at dwp WONT be getting feather in he’s cap FROM me as it’s hassle can do with out.
But what I will say thankfully 😅 we have public intrest and common law.
But on serious not DWP are acting Ilegal AND trying to bully claimants and cut accountability Tribunal’s Out Of claims process by breaching your social civil rights and circumventing OR trying to the law accountability
That is terrible, but not a surprise unfortunately. Whilst in the High Dependence Unit for a month on our Respiratory Ward I received a total of 21 letters from DWP about attending for an assessment, which would entail me walking, getting a bus, walking, getting a train...all beyond me, and the extra stress caused by it all as every letter said if I cancelled more than once they would cancel my application and I would have to start the process again. All sorted now, but a lot of stress and anxiety created unnecessarily. We are all thinking of you.
Well done Jeff for persevering, I am sure on many occassions our human rights are being infringed. I was at a meeting yesterday , and apparently the duty of candour by all NHS personel has been renamed as the say sorry project. But it does not mean they are admitting liability just say sorry for how their mistake has effected you the patient. And it does apply to all NHS employees including doctors from Gp upwards. Not sure about DWP assessors though even though some are GPs.
Hi Katie usaly if GMC are wa%## don’t follow up complaint’s it’s parliaments onbudsmans
As GMC are accountable to parliament.
For diseased fellow have been around a bit lol
But not in sense I would like lol 😆
Anyway government tried stoping Tribunal’s ruling on breaches of human rights convention CANT think why BUT it’s not like news reports when talking about human rights.
Anyway it’s all confusing but I think WITH out saying to much have my corner well covered.
Keep them on their toes Jeff, changes are coming including more say for mental health patients, but it all takes time , research funding , and dedicated people to raise the issues.
From personal experience I found DWP really easy to deal with and they kept me updated as my claim went through. My neighbour just recently applied for PIP for her son and apart from a short delay in processing claim that also went smoothly. We both got enhanced rates and my neighbour was instructed to claim for careers allowance.
