I had the whipple in 2015 which has left me with poor immune system, got pnemonic pleurisy on Boxing Day hospitalised 5 days now home, chronic fatigue, breathlessness still pain in lungs but not too bad, just want to sleep.

Then sleep, rest is what you need to recover. It takes weeks if not months to recover properly. So for now you just have to take it easy and give your body a chance to get better and recover.

Hi. Corriena is right, it takes months to get right from pneumonia and pleurisy. I had them at the same time, followed by back to back chest infections for further months as there was no immunity left to fight any little bug off. It took a really long time to come back from that. Probably three years and now lungs are more damaged, developed bronchiectasis, always chronically tired. If only I knew then what I know now and rested, looked after myself properly and got properly well at the time.
Do rest, eat little but often of very nutritious foods, take extra vitamins and minerals - perhaps a good tonic for months, drink plenty of fluid.
TLC for you, rebuild that totally depleted immune system and don't hesitate to go to GP if you feel you're slipping back. P x
