You Must miss your Home Country Helga, My Spanish Granddaughter Married a half Spanish/German Boy, who's Spanish Family all live in Germany. My GD has been to Germany quite a few Times, travelling from Spain, and they to Spain, my Great GD Amelia, who is 5 years old, has all 3 languages as Family do in Germany xxxx

Oh 3 languages is amazing, what an advantage! My kids speak both and my eldest son decided to live in Germany rather than here in the UK. So we try and visit in the summer (yes I do miss certain things) just not in winter now. I’ve really struggled with cold air since my diagnosis which makes me sad as I used to love snow and frost. I imagine you miss sunny Spain Hacienda? 🌝

Yes I do Helga, Not the very Hot Summers, My Family & Friends There, and the way of Life. But I have Done a lot in my Life, Travelling , Lots of Daring adventures, I may have completed my Bucket List already apart from never getting to New York. As you say with Our Conditions , we cannot do a lot now, But Hey , Been there, Got the T. Shirt, I'm Content(ish) xxxxxxx

My two girls are learning - having lived in this beautiful country for 18months, and no intention of moving, it’s about time I started to learn. I first heard it being spoken in the Welsh Mountain zoo, when a young mum was talking to her child about the animals. I wanted to turn around and tell her how beautiful it sounded, but that would have been a bit weird so I didn’t 🤣 My health has been all over the place lately but once it settles I’m definitely going to start learning 😎 Enjoy your weekend x

Have you tried learning Welsh with Duolingo ....my Welsh only reaches toddler level even though my mother was fluent.

There are other free Welsh language courses on the Internet too.

My father learnt at evening classes.

I am not bad at reading Welsh, but don’t know much of what I’m saying! Lived in North East Wales for twenty one years in all, but moved into England a few months ago. I’ll be missing all the Nadolig Llawen in Llangollen this Christmas.
