Best place to check is your local citizens advice bureau they're really good with that sort of thing.
I think stone gave you advice the last time you asked
T bob try for carers allowance tell them you need help with dressing and bathing as your out of breath with your copd and daily things. Happy hunting.
Yes you asked this same question 3 months ago. Did you read all the replies you got as you didn't come in to acknowledge them? Stone gave you the BLF link whereby you can speak to a benefit advisor.
Hpercat thanks for telling me about the advice id been given i apoligize.i tried so many thing to look up, and im sorry to stone for not agknowledging him and yes i must of taken his advice because i receve attendance allowance so thank you
everyone happy to help ,think benfiet advicer would be good place to start, I think sometimes it is easy to miss replies, especially when you have health concerns ,good luck
Ring age concern it go to their office. If you own your own house you can get help with council tax. Also if youvarecof working age you may be able to claim pip or universal credit.
What you need is a full benefit check. That will show you if you are missing out on anything. I don’t know if BLF provide one but Citizens Advice should have the software to do one or you can do your own at turn2us.prg.uk. The Turn 2 Us website also has a grant search facility and there might be some kind of grant available.
Hi there not sure if I answered you before however recently I found a new page on line called Independant Age, it has a calculator which if you fill it in , it will tell you every thing you are entitled too based on your replies. You get a list which can be printed off allowing you to go through it at your own leisure. It does deal with all ages not just over 65s so could be useful to any members of this site. Hope it is of use to you.
thank you

Hi, the best people to tell you what you can get are the Dept of Work & Pensions or your local Citizens advice office, either should know the regs inside & out.
IKeith
If you have Attendance Allowance you must be over Age65. Depending on your income I.e. Old age Pension, works pension , savings (£16,000 or less) etc you may be able to claim Pension Credit. Contact your local council they should have a benefits maximisation officer who can help with help and entitlement or alternatively look up your welfare rights officer. Good luck let uus s know how you get on.
