What does 99-100 reading on the pulse oximeter imply? That my body has sufficient amount of oxygen? Just curious.

I quite often read 95-100, my doctor says I am breathing too much pure oxygen into my blood!?!? I looked it up, it can lead to becoming toxic! So don't be complacent see a nurse or chemist, some doctors can be a bit ambivalent.

Hi, it would imply that your resting oxygengen saturations are fine.

I would only worry if I had a low reading and other symptoms. A pulse oximeter is a good tool but as limitations in other aspects of lung function.

I think it implies that if you have an accurate pulse oximeter and it is placed correctly on your finger that you have won the oxygen lottery and your body is indicating near perfect levels of oxygen saturation, lucky you!

I think it means your oxygen levels are good. When they put the device on your finger it shows your oxygen levels 100% is perfect so you've got nothing to worry about.
