Gracefully I rise up,
Whilst sitting in the chair.
I bought it for my dear wife
Who could not use the stair.
She is no longer with us
Lung cancer took it's toll
I kept it here for when I'm old
To maybe play a role.
I really shouldn't use it
The exercise does me good.
But I'm so often tempted,
After steak and kidney pud.
(That's if Midge hasn't pinched it first!)

I kept my Cecilia's electric chair in case i lose my puff
though i must admit the ride in it is really rather rough
Scruffy cat's now adopted it often using it for a bed
So now bereft of transport it's shanks pony for me instead
the moral of this story Don is pets often take the space
of places where our loved ones sat with charm and endless grace.

Very good Don. My new secondhand stairlift is working well, getting more use than it should.
So funny Don ...it would make my day if my cat had the guts to get on my stairlift ha ...i have tried numerous times to get him to jump up on it but not a chance as he is frightened of his own shadow which is quite ironic realky with him being named shadow xxx so glad to see u back in business with your rhymes /poems you gave us all quite a scare last week xxxxx
I had a stairlift before we moved. I swear it was the clincher in the house sale, the little boy of the family had a couple of rides on it! He was most disappointed when he found that it wouldn’t be staying!

Just by googling and choosing my search words carefully. I feel a bit guilty, but always leave the source information on them and share my rhymes by leaving them unlocked. I wish I could draw like others on here.
