Breathlessness

breathlessness can be quite scary

often times it makes you wary

makes you slowdown to snails pace

take your time you mustn’t race

If you try to go too fast

your breathed in oxygen

just won’t last

so if you don’t want to huff and puff

your slowest pace will be enough

And if of breath you are bereft

it’s all down to your IPF

to get your sats back up again

you must partake of oxygen

just sit and breathe both slow and deep

and pray the Lord your soul to keep.

and when the rhythm evens out

just sit a while don’t gad about

just sit and rest and you’ll discover

it takes a good while to recover

If you try too much too soon

you will find you’re not immune

from tiredness fatigue and then

your right back at square one again.

Sooooo true, but, oh boy, is it difficult to stick to. Physiotherapist told me not to exceed 5 on the Borg scale. Hmmm..... would take me a week to get upstairs...

Yes I learned my lesson the last few days. I need to slow down. Otherwise I get worked up and start to have a panic attack and have to wear my mask.slow is best.you still get there in the end
