Ok so I'm back with another question about ipf. Can anyone share their symptoms of what lead to their diagnosis? Btw i have been focusing on my family 😁

My husband has PF not IPF and my understanding they are very similar just that PF they know the cause and in my husband’s case it was very bad reflux and damaged esophagus and he was also a heavy smoker in his youth. Symptoms started nearly 3 years ago when he started to get breathless doing easy tasks and although lost weight and muscle has stayed quite stable. He has also lost interest in everything he used to enjoy even though they are manageable. Hope this helps. Carole
It does. I don't have a cough etc nor have I've been diagnosed. But I'm worried something is wrong. I'm 38 and yes I have lost interest in things I love as well. I hope he can get it back.
It's tough because you have these plans on how life is going to play out and then this crud happens. It's mentally dehabilitating. No one wants or experts this to happen to them.
