Yup district nurses have strang concept when it comes to disease.
Take a SDTI or DTI well that’s other word for tissue injury ulcer norcrosis.
All quite worrying words with foot edema diabetes.
And that’s Road we are at with my dad LIKE he’s Alzheimer’s Dementia is not bad enough with out something new very dodgy like gangren of the foot.
Currently it’s 2 cm crispy patch iodine patches won’t clear on side Of is foot where little toe is.
Quite a commen site apparently BUT it’s speed at arrival was nothing then 3 day’s patch.
Clearly am not impressed as my dad’s issues have been complicated by austerity I.e nurses not turning up given staff cuts work loads.
It’s just a shame he dose lot suffering in silence given he’s Alzheimer’s Dementia and that’s sad part as doctors no this and fully exploit he’s condition.
Also as well as carrer NOW I have to watch gangrene don’t trash what’s left of my own lungs.
That’s sad JAS and my mother-in-law is at a similar stage. She’s unhappy at the home, although well cared for, and a solicitor is to represent her in court. The chances are she will be staying where she is so rather a lot of money wasted but there you go. Take care xxxx
Over the years I’ve known a number of people who’ve said they are / were a carer for their spouse or partner or parent, and I replied with some inane platitude. Until I started caring for my dad in his own home I had no idea how hard and how draining it is, both physically and emotionally. And how it takes up your whole day. I did this with my mum and brother so I had other people to share the load. It sounds like you’re caring for your dad by yourself. And dealing with your own health at the same time. It doesn’t seem like either of you are getting much support. Which is just not good enough. I have a lot of admiration for you. Best wishes to you and your dad.
It is such a tough situation you are in. I hope you have some support for yourself too. Your poor dad. It must be very difficult for all of you. Please take care of yourself as well Jeff.
Well Jeff once again you sound like the care cut backs are hitting you and your father, it is so distressing and no way the situation is going to improve in the NHS, all methods are aimed at patient independence in the community, I ask you how can this happen in some cases like your father, and we need the services in the community to maintain our independance don't you think? You have my wholehearted agreement that things are not working and some people are getting sicker because of it.
