Sleep Apnoea
Welcome to HU. There are lots of lovely people on here who will be happy to support you.
My sister was doing this for a long time. Her husband and I kept trying to get her to the GP but it was only when she read an article about sleep apnoea that she went. The GP referred her to a sleep clinic at the closest hospital in Hampshire but it was full. She set about getting herself an appointment at the other big teaching hospital. After a wait of three months during which she was telling us that we were making a fuss over nothing she had the overnight breathing test. She stopped breathing 76 times! Now she has a cpap machine and feels so much better. So does her husband because she has stopped snoring! So if you experience this again I suggest that you go and discuss it with your GP. BTW stay away from Dr Google and stick sites like NHS choices and this one because there is an awful lot of scary rubbish out there.
Hi, it was only after all the snoring I was doing with my chest erratically moving up and down I attended sleep clinic last year, now I have a bipap machine for my sleep apnoea. Welcome by the way, I've found this website to be a source of helpful information, and so many helpful people.
