I have been reading up about garlic oil and how the ingredient ajoene can disrupt the biofilm of the mucoid pseudomonas bacteria. i am interested in nebulising garlic oil but i am not sure if it's safe or how to go about it.
Has anyone else heard about the wonders of garlic in the killing of mucoid pseudomonas ?
what are your thoughts on nebulising this substance

Personally I would never nebulise an oil into my lungs. Do you have a link and does it specify nebulising garlic oil?

Hi again skj_
If only garlic oil could kill pseudomonas there would be thousands of bronchiectasis patients cured and putting the flags out. Sadly not.
PLEASE don’t nebulise anything that has not been prescribed for you and tested to see if it causes bronchospasm. In another post you say that you nebulise gentamycin and I am pretty sure that you had your first dose under supervision. All of these oils are very rough and strong, could damage your lungs even more. They have never been approved for nebulisation.
From what you have told me you have a good knowlegable consultant. Please stick to her advice and nothing else. If you want to add garlic to your diet there could be a place for that as it has a good reputation for anti inflammatory and immune system building properties.
Just to let you know that there is a warning with the sale of Allicin, which I presume is the ingredient that you are interested in. It is known to interfere with blood clotting. Given the fact that you say you have bleeds from time to time you may like to give this consideration.
