Is anyone happy with their meds
Hi janet,
I have been on ultibro for 12 months now and have found it amazing.
I can actually get to the top of the stairs without feeling like I've claimed a mountain.
Good luck stay positive
Thank you so much for your reply, I’m actually going to see a Consultant, first time , I have not been able to get out for years, i asked for roflumilast from my Doctor he would not prescribe them, therefore a visit to a consultant.
I keep trying to find something that may work. I use symbicort / spiriva / salbutamol. Nothing works anymore. I have always used this medication 8years.
Possibly stage 4.
Here’s hoping I will receive a magic cure, well no not cure, just relief ,
I will google Ultibro now and try and make it fit me. Thank you again Wooo
I too had been on the same meds as you for 9 years, my Symbicort has recently been changed to Fostair Next 200, since the change I have shown an improvement. Jan x
Thank you Jan m. I have heard fostair, not next 200. Busy tonight googling all these amazing (sounds like) new to me inhalers. I will have so much to ask the Consultant I hope he gives me enough time. Can’t wait for something new. Best wishes janet.
I tried to answer but my message went out as a new post?? Emphysema (stage2) sorry
Morning Janet. I feel so much better and not so much coughing since my consultant prescribed azithromyacin (abs) 3 times week and spiolto respimat inhaler . Maybe worth reading about ...we are all different.jane
Hello Janet. I have emphysema and have been on a Duaklir inhaler taking 1 puff twice a day. It seems to suit me very well. I still get the odd day when I feel iffy but majority of the time , things r ok. Hope this can b of some help to u. Best wishes.👍🤓

Hi, I don't think anyone is happy with their meds as the illness does not go away whatever you take.
There are treatments & trials that you could try to get on, try "Clinical trials" site they often advertise for entrants. You could try getting a lung transplant, lung reduction, lung coils or lung valves & stem cell treatment. Many of which you will only get privately but some of these services are on NHS but either way you will need to be referred by your GP or specialist.
