Advised not to use any creams for moisturising when on oxygen?

Hi, my hospice gave a ‘talk’ about avoiding skin creams while using oxygen as it may cause burns or worse. But I’ve been using Vaseline intensive care on my body, but only water based Optilube lubricant in and around my nose. But what about the rest of my face, which is getting very dry. I normally use Boots No7 day cream and have had no problems. I think so long as you avoid cannula tips and nose it’s ok?

I have been advised to use Calmurid, which I’m told my gp can prescribe, and as I get free scripts this would be ideal.

What do others use? Thank you 😊

You would have been advised not to use any oil based products near oxygen including the fittings.

I use Nivea Oil Free Moisturizing Day Cream which I buy in Wilkinsons.
