I have had copd for a number of years. Lately it has gotten really bad with chest tightness and pain in my solar plex area and under my ribs on the left side. It hurts when I breathe. I thought it was cardiac related but my heart checked out fine. It is very similar to some of the older post about tightness and breathlessness. I feel there is some underlying problem applying pressure to my diaphragm. (hiatal hernia?) I am experiencing loose stools as well as brain fog and vision problems. I was hoping someone could shed some light to this scary situation. I go in later this week for an endoscopy to see what is going on inside? LOL DTW 54
Thanks!!!

Hi there, welcome to our gang, you’ll get lots of support and advice from the lovely people here, and, hopefully, some answers to your questions. Take care. Christine.
Welcome and so glad you've joined our community. Some of the problems you've mentioned sound very usual for those of us with lung "issues" although its a medical voice that can correctly diagnose them for you. You say you are booked in to have a procedure this week,so perhaps speak of your concerns with the Consultant then. I'm sure some of our valued members may be able to throw some light in your direction as well.
Try not to get too stressed as this can make any breathlessness worse.
Take care and do remember to come back and tell us how things went.
Hi, please try not to worry too much. Before the procedure, they will give you something to calm and relax you. They will ask you if you have any concerns before the procedure is carried out. I was given a little more sedative, due to feeling anxious. Then, I could not remember anything, until I woke up. I hope this reassures you. xx
