Well I had the assessment! Got the report, and

I thought they had gotten me mixed up with someone else. Why you may ask, well lots of untruthful things had been written by the assessor. I have asked for a Mandatory Reconsideration and I am waiting for an answer. Have a good day all.

Oh No! I hope you get this sorted. I was lucky with my PIP assessment. However there's a mistake on my pension credit application I need to get sorted out. Also my husband has been accepted as my carer but they will not backdate the payments because he was getting another benefit. Except he wasn't! Another thing to get checked.

It's all so tiring isn't it. With lung problems we just don't have the oomph for all this hassle.

Good luck xxx

Not at all what you need chubb. How very stressful. So many of these decisions are overturned. Can you get correspondence from medics etc as evidence what they have said is put in doubt.

Wishing you well. Please let us know how you get on.

Awful just how often the information they present is inaccurate. I would always ask to record the assessment for future reference!

I have heard so many bad stories about PIP assessments that like Flossy1969, I would urge everyone to record the meeting. This is your evidence as to what was actually said. The administrators seem to take the word of the assessors (who are paid by results e.g. How many visits they do in a day). When the report does not resemble the truth of the meeting it may well be a cut and paste job to save the assessor time in writing the report.

Good Luck,

Helen

Keep pushing. I didn't give in I could barely walk up stairsnow have stair left. They came to my home to assess me. She would see I was having problems but report came back I'm ok s got refused. Went back to them really pushed my case sat with my oxygen on. So the assessor couldn't be mistake I needed help. Can't even walk to top of drive but it is steep. After pushing and getting go and consultant involved it seemed to help and now get full pip. Which means we can get mobility car which will be a godsend .with wheelchair. Keep pushing they will try anything to say No.
