Well began my pulmonary rehabilitation today and really enjoyed it. I felt I had begun to to achieve things again, I even managed to do more than I am supposed to. I feel a little better and hopefully that will increase as I continue. 😊 XXX Bernadette

Welcome to the world of Rehab Bernadette. I so enjoy my twice weekly classes, I go on to Breathe Easy Class and The Gym. Don't overdo it as some days we have bad days and then Good days, we are always wanting to achieve better results from the previous day, my downfall (only in my eyes) is the 10 minute walk after the 10 exercises, I always aim to do 1 more than previous. My Group are a lovely Lot and we have a good social session every time. Keep us updated Bernadette, mostly just Enjoy and feel yourself get stronger..love n Hugs, Carolina XXX

I'm on my fourth week today. Because I have a long bus trip I only go one day a week, but for seven weeks. It's great fun but doing the exercises every day on your own gets a little boring, and the wife looks at me as though I'm going off my rocker.

One point that some of my colleagues forget is that, if you are using ambulatory oxygen, don't forget to breath in through your nose. When exercising you can get quite confused as to when to breath in and when out.

Well done and long may it continue. Even at the end of the course you can continue on your own the exercises and suggestions. Good luck.

Hello Rosie, I agree it certainly makes us feel better and you can feel the difference the longer you go. This is my fifth time, I can't understand how some people don't enjoy it. I love it and enjoy the company. XXX😊 Bernadette

Good for you, but wait for the aches and pains that will follow on from the first session, after that you will begin to build you body strength and feel really good. Keep at it. good luck.

Glad you enjoyed the session. Goes a long way to making things easier to do a little more and so bring on an improvement in matters. That's what I found when I did a rehab course last year. Still reaping benefits even though a recent exacerbation slowed me down a bit. Keep it up.

Good to hear this - I (finally) go for my Lung Rehab assessment on May 17th. Don't know whether I'm looking forward to it or not....... However, anything that makes me feel even a bit better will be a PLUS! I've been diagnosed with Chronic Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis - it's a total mystery and I'd never heard of it before.

Hopefully, even at 82, lung rehab will help me onto the right path, fingers crossed!

I've got my assessment next week, quite looking forward to it, for anyone that's on the course or been on it, are there any items I can purchase to help me do the exercises at home, just things like small weights etc?
