Tb test negative

I got my my result from my sputum test and im negative for tuberculosis which my doctor's says i might have.. And for some reason my 6 months chronic cough is almost gone when i stopped Taking the doctors medication.. But i still cough a little esp. When im in Polluted places and it Always starts with a tickle behind my throat and i still have it .do you have any idea whats the cause of this? Thanks

Well that’s good news..

Sounds like allergy..dust?

But pollution irritates your airways. Not much you can do about that.

Did you do all the allergy prick tests?

There are tips like for hay fever, put a little vaseline just at the opening of your nostrils, so it blocks particles..wearing a mask like they do on pushbikes in the rush hour in London, not much fun, using a steroids nasal spray you can buy OTC..Antihistamines dry you out but talk about that possibility to your GP.

Don’t forget boiled sweets or glycerin pastilles for the throat.

I didn't perform any prick test, And thank you i dont think its hay fever.. Its more like a cough that comes from the throat

Ask for allergy testing..something is irritating that throat..what happens sometimes is post nasal drip, nose gets irritated it leaks in the back of the throat and we cough.

Have you or your doctor considered silent reflux? A few on here have this and had similar symptoms.
