Sitting in the waiting room

Waiting for the call.

There's lots of others waiting here

That don't look well at all.

I'm feeling a bit better now,

And not as bad as him.

He looks like he's not long to go

Before ending in the bin.

You mustn't make eye contact,

It's not the thing to do.

The others are all wondering,

What is wrong with you.

That's because you look quite fit,

Your ailment doesn't show

Best to have a little cough,

Just to let them know.

At last the 'next one' buzzer goes

And I hobble to the door.

I'm off the see the doctor,

I've forgotten now what for! :-o

Hi Don I enjoyed that thanks😊. I always find the waiting room environment amusing and awkward and sometimes I enjoy just watching people pretend to be busy, with a magazine or on their phones. I wonder why none of them just have a chat! One time I got the giggles and must have looked very odd😂. And if I've my children with me then our mayhem is often the centre of attention 😂. Glad its not just me that finds it a strange social situation to be in 😊. Have a lovely day by the way x

Brill as ever Don ! Sheila xx

You should pin these on the waiting room wall Don. They'll keep everyone's mind off their ailments - or maybe finish off the ones ready for the bin. ;-)
