I have my long awaited appointment with respiratory specialist at the hospital for investigations following two unprovoked PEs this morning. We have had snow so I hope he gets to the hospital! My hypothesis for the cause of my PEs is that although I work hard my job is sedentary and I live in a flat. I do to the gym 4/5 times a week but don’t think it is enough. Does anyone have advice about how to build activity into my life? I’m not naturally an active person so will have to learn new habits. I hope I’m right with my hypothesis as pulmonary hypertension has been mooted as a possible cause.

Worried about investigations into cause of PEs
I hope it all goes well Kristen48 .
How did it go, Kristen48? Did the consultant turn up?
I use a Fitbit to encourage me to be more active. It tells me to get moving every hour I haven't managed 250 steps, and I set my own daily target, which is now 10,000 steps. If I haven't achieved it with the things I do, I go for a walk with my husband, so he is getting fitter too. That's made us a lot brighter mentally as well as physically. He notices the difference when he plays competitive table tennis too - more alert, better reactions.
Yes the consultant did turn up. She was great and I have to have an echocardiogram I have a Fitbit but the number of steps isn’t helpful when I live alone in a flat and can’t get out which is why I was seeking ideas for ways to exercise and keep moving inside. Keep up the good work with your hubbie.
