Side effect?

Hi. I have been taking uniphyllin and montelucast for asthma. I am waking up with a headache and feel muzzy headed until mid morning. Which tablet is most likely to cause this? Can anyone help? Thanks everyone. Stay well. X

Hi ranv56 I was recently took off montelukast as I had side effects, sweating, nightmares, headaches I also take uniphyllin but have no effects. Everyone is different and how medicine affects them, I suggest you have a word with your g.p see if there is something else you can take. X

i have been taking uniphyllin for years with no side effects,i don't take monte, so i cannot comment on that

I started monte Tuesday this week. On Wed had a bad headache, Thurs had the worst migraine in years! Took Panadol and Zomig (migraine drug), Fri another bad head worsened during day, today yet another really bad headache. Will give it till next Tues then go to Pharmacy or ring clinic who presribed it. Dont know which painkillers will clear it sorry. Many of my meds for chronic bronchitis/asthma ??/ chronic cough depending on which doctor I see, many of them cause headaches, dizziness, and trouble sleeping, so I wish I knew what to suggest for you.

Montelukast frequently has side effects and head aches are among the most common, speak to your GP and see what they say. There may be something else they can try you with if it's causing problems
