Don't think can diagnose bronchiectasis on xray THINK you have emphysema and thats why lungs was stampled
The cut lung narcosis out to cut down on infections then stample
Be in fitting with lung collasp
As to several if i was docctor i would say is more than one AND less than two
Shadows can appear and sometimes it's the X-ray that's incorrect too, shadows can also be caused by movement of other organs they're really not conclusive evidence of much at all. That's why the CT is so important as that will give a clear picture. Don't dwell too much now wait for the CT and then you'll know exactly what's happened and if there's anything at all then insist on seeeing a specialist, not just a GP. But for now try not to worry too much. My X-ray had me worried sick and turned out to not be anything at all after the CT scan!
I support what JeffAjaxSmith says - don't think you can diagnose Bronchiectasis via X-ray. Probably CT or MRI - I can't remember which I had now. In my experience X-rays often come back with all sorts of stuff (just to cover themselves I think). My Consultant saw the X-ray report and said "That's a step too far" and promptly set about discounting it. A Bronchiectasis scan will show tiny bubbles in the airwaves - that's the clue. Good luck.
