Grading copd

When I was first diagnosed with copd/emphysema I was given a booklet saying I was grade 4. The grades were 1 to 4 but I have seen sites saying there are 5 stages so not sure what i . Does anyone know what different scales there are. Thanks

I believe that there are only 4 stages to COPD

There's different websites that say stage 5 of copd iv seen it to . My thinking is not to be to aware of numbers as really it's how you feel on a daily basis that matters and numbers just exist for health care professionals to match you up to them...I was diagnosed at stage 3 copd lung function 46 % but still walk run train and very active lifestyle so that's my opinion but I do agree I have seen stage 5 xxx

I believe that the 5th one has prob been invented by a COPD group along the line x
