Have been for my breathing test today, did a bit better than I thought which surprised me. Now I have to wait until March 15 th for my results. Hope they will be ok, I will worry until I find out.

I always ask the technician and they tell me on the spot. Also ask for and get a print-out. Hope your results are ok.

Can anybody tell me how often you should have a spirometry breathing test. I have only had one since I was diagnosed 2years ago. I have mild copd I think. Thanks.

My nurse sends a reminder once a year. I was diagnosed three years ago. I should go back for further advice from your doctor.

I would ask why you have to wait so long I got a printout on the day of mine and results were emailed to specialist same day.

I have no idea why I have to wait, it's just what they told me.xx

Even though the results are emailed through to the consultant, I, like you, usually have to wait for the results so I know how you feel. Have you asked the technician how you have done? I have started asking him and although he doesn’t give me the full results he usually shows me the graph compared to my previous reading so I have an idea how it compares. Please try not to worry about it, if the worry is making you feel worse try ringing the consultant’s secretary, she might be able to help. Gentle hugs Meg52
