Well last week had a contrast CT scan. Had the results the day after. Today I have just arranged to see the doctor so appointment in just over an hour and dreading it
The results show ground glass and other nodules emphysema and a couple of other things. But the biggest worry and the main reason for the visit is atherosclerotic changes in the arch of the aorta and branches. Oh and cholesterol at 272mg/dl
Has anyone had the same thing?

Expected a big lecture on various things but none of it doctor went through the scan poi ting out the problem areas and did not seem concerned about the heart issue. Need to follow up and maybe have my hiatus hernia fixed as it is a little bigger than I thought, acid reflux issue.
Came away with a whole lot of meds antibiotic two types, nebulizer two types and something called Xyzal to see if will help with my sleep.
So all in all not a bad day apart from the extra meds
Well apart from all the sand you seem to have the benefit of a good doctor Andy. When I saw your earlier picture I decided I wouldn't come and visit you after all ! Do you get homesick at times ? Anyway take your meds and I hope you feel better soon, Sheila xx
Yes sometimes it does feel like I should return - cleanish air decent people safer roads and proper food the middle East is not as lucrative as it used to be but have to pay the bills so here I stay for while longer. Today is a lot better the sand has subsided a lot but it is always there
When I was a young bride ,many moons ago,my husband was in the Royal Navy and we were posted to Malta for about three years. I had my first son out there and I so missed my family. People didn't jump on planes as easily then and I used to pray for rain and longed to see the hills of Cumbria. But we didn't have your sand problem Andy. Stay well, Sheila x
