That sounds uncomfortable JAS. Pete struggles to breathe if he lays flat, he props himself up slightly. Could be lungs or heart with him when breathless.
Hope you get some answers tomorrow......you never know. Xxxx
I know what you mean, my doctor told me to lift the top of the bed up, then roll old towels up under my mattress,
but then I still had to put pillows behind my back, but the one thing I would love to do is lie on my side, but when I do I feel like I'm being squashed.
It's a horrible feeling. This has gone on for the last several months, then all of a sudden over the last couple of weeks my doctor has put me on a low dose of antibiotics for good and my sister in law brought me a table what tips upside down
Just about, all of a sudden with all my meds to help get mucus up and everything else I've found I was managing to do it, with the help from my daughter exercising on my back then I could actually breath, it's been a while but I'm not shouting to much about it incase things changes back but I'm so thankful. I've been taking senna at least six every other day plus an orange mixture called lactose to loosen bowels., all in all there working. I hope you get sorted soon, there is nothing worse than all of these things wrong with you at the same time. Take care. Maureen xxxx
JeffAlex, get in a recliner chair, raise the legs part, but only slightly tilt the torso/back part . This is how I have slept for 6 years. For 6 years I have not even bothered trying to lay flat and sleep. If you do not have a recliner chair, then use a regular chair. Best Wishes, judg69
All that gas or fluid or whatever is pressing on everything else around the stomach in bloating, so yes, you will feel breathless as it's putting the diaphragm in a vice. Lactulose is a very effective laxative if you're suffering constipation, but there are plenty of others. Have a chat with your pharmacist, who will be able to recommend a product or advise you to go back to your GP. Hope things improve for you very soon.
i was really poorly earlier this year i have 28% lung capacity i could hardly move i couldnt wash properly or clean my teeth i was useless and i was awake most of the night as i couldnt breathe i went to pulmonary rehab well when i got there i had to exercise for on hour then have education for the second our the education part was brilliant i learnt alot now the excercises well you had to stand behind your chair to warm up well that killed me off to cut a long story short you have to walk they like you to build up to at least 10mins so i started walking i walked for 3mins and had 4 stops in between to breathe thats how bad i was then do some exercises well its hard very hard but let me tell you i can now walk for up to 10mins without stopping and other days prob only five mins but i am now cooking again and feel so much better i now have an exercise bike at home and i sit and cycle just for 5 mins every other day and try and walk every day trust me it massively helps very very hard but dont give up
You sound in great discomfort Jeff, bloating really affects my ability to breathe.....have to eat really small meals quite a few hours before going anywhere because I get so full really quickly, then it's back to can't breathe again, so I do empathise.....hope you have good news when you see your GP.....best of luck and take care x
