Home visit PIP assessment
Hi Agnes
Wishing you the very best for tomorrow. I know how stressful this is and I feel your stress will subside a lot once you get this out of the way. Are you having a home visit or do you have to attend a centre?
I hope you have someone with you.
Love cx
Thank you cofdrop
Home visit and my sister who is a student nurse will be with me she is one of my carers x
That's good Agnes. Don't you answer the door or anything. Remember, just as with the form, if they ask you to do anything or about doing anything don't answer just yes or no, but explain why eg It will cause you pain/breathlessness or whatever and/or will cause you pain later on. Again as with your form eg. you can shower - explain how long it takes, how many times you have to stop for pain/breathlessness, whatever. They need to know why something is difficult for you.
Good luck again. Please let us know how you get on.

Breathing calming exercises, breathe out, then breathe in slowly to count of 4 then breathe out for count of 7. Spend 3-5 minutes daily or twice daily, or just whenever you need to destress and relax a bit. You can use any count to suit as long as the out breath is longer than the in breath (and always start with breathing out first)
I have just been through the PIP appeal and I did resort to lavender kalms, but you would probably have to check with your doc if they are compatible with what you already take, also you need to have been on them about 5-10 days before the stressful event really. ~They did help me some.
Best wishes for tomorrow, so glad you have your student nurse sister with you on the day.
Remember to tell all the difficulties and when the assessor tries to focus only on your better days keep bringing them back to the difficulties on your worst day.
Thank you Bkin appreciate the breathing techniques xx
I am sending you my very best wishes for tomorrow. You are on a lot of meds
and really it should be a formality that your case goes in your favour. Please take great care of yourself.
Kind regards,
Bridget
