After a long battle with IPF, my loving father, David (Tenter) peacefully passed away last night. He has always been a strong and loving part of my life and I will miss him everyday. Dad taught me to make the most of every day.I am proud to have had him as a father.
Thank you for the support you have given all of us.

I am so sorry. David was a valued member of this site and helped others. You will be missed David. He was very proud of his family and God bless. RIP. xx
I’m so sorry to hear your very sad news. I didn’t know him very well, Tenter-spawn, but he was such a nice man! His posts always made me smile - I admired his courage, humour, strength and common sense. I won’t be able to see a unicorn without thinking of him.
He’s now pain free, at peace and no longer struggling. My deepest condolences to you and your family. He was so proud of you all.
Dorothy.your dad will remain with you every day for the rest of your life in your heart,Fly free David from the chains of your illness................regards Skis and Scruffy x
I am so very, very sorry to hear this news and I thank you for letting us know. I remember him joining us here early last year, very closely followed by his loving family members. I will always remember the lovely man who gave me wise advice about high-flow oxygen, cannulae and hospitals. Rest in Peace, David. xx
I am very sad to hear of your dad's passing. I had a message from him five months ago telling me he was going through some old family videos and how very happy he was to see them (one especially funny story about your sister's birth and woodland animal wallpaper 😃). Despite everything, he remained cheerful and always positive. He brightened my day and the days of many others here.
He will be sadly missed for his wisdom, courage and off-beat sense of humour. Tenter once sent me a link to a mindfulness essay on chocolate. It was hilarious. I'll always think of him when I see a unicorn. You and your family must be devestated at his loss, I wish you all the best at this very sad time.
Well Mate...I guess this is goodbye...or is it??..I enjoyed our messages..we laughed..sometimes cried...but I always admired your courage and strength, may you now find what eluded you for so long...perfect peace and now free from pain...rest in peace David and thank you for being you......

So very sorry to hear this, and thank you so much for telling us. We loved him and his amazing attitude. His character, resilience, grace and humour came over so strongly in his posts. He will be so very much missed.
He was very much part of the family here and I should very much like to know a little about his funeral if you felt you could come on here and tell us about it.
