Fran, just the smell of a cooking an onion motivates me.
You are right that immobility makes shopping difficult. It's not so much finding transport, it's transport of food which becomes difficult. Fortunately in the UK, you can buy your food online and have it delivered, what a bonus!
Exercise Chinese Style. This style mixes breathing with the exercises. It's called the 8 pieces of brocade. Brocade is made of silk which is both supple and sturdy, which is the aim of the exercises.
I add to it some Tai chi, like leaning against the wall, lift your knee up, several times, then the other knee. All this has to be done gently, starting with where you are and increasing as you can, but always somehow coupling the breathing with the movement. I find this exercise beneficial to keep the legs functioning.
I recommend Susie Mantell, Your present, a half hour of peace. This is really a goodie, unobtrusive. Yes I fall asleep when I listen to it. But the content is really stimulating. For instance, she speaks of being in front of a bridge. On the other side there is a goal that you would like to achieve. Either you decide to go on the bridge or not, but both choices are good. She has several suggestions of this type. By the end you feel really refreshed.
Vit D3 may help with osteoporosis and boosting the immune system. I am a great fan!
Oh I forgot, I'm also a great fan of learning the flute, but this is personal!
My daughter orders heavy goods on line for us, but I like to choose my own meat or fish or vegetables..
Thank you for your choice of exercises and video. I have never tried it. I will give it a go.
I take Vitamin D3 too and I have been recommended Resveratrol for better aging, you find it in red wine, grapes, green tea, red fruit, apples, cereals citrus, peanuts but Solgar sells it.
