Hi
For those that use a pulse oximeter, do any of you have a pulse intensity % on it?
Whilst my pulse and oxygen levels are normal , I find my pulse intensity is always at 20% - is that common?
Thanks

My pulse is from 60 to 80 mainly 70 but at night it drops 50/60 ..
Yes I have an intensity reading on mine. I find it pretty useless as the readings are all over the place, finger temperature affects the reading enormously.
I'm afraid I don't even know what pulse intensity is.... 😱
Basically it is the blood flow volume which is tied to blood pressure and arterial construction or dilation.
So a warm finger = large reading/cold finger = low reading.
High blood pressure = high reading/low blood pressure = low reading.
Mix them up and you can get all sorts of results. But if you had a blood pressure monitor and a laser thermometer to measure the temperature in the same spot on the finger as the oximeter, you might find a way to use the "intensity" reading.
When my fingers are cold it won't read just says"finger is out"
