When they say use a salt pipe for 20mins a time does this mean keep breathing in and out of the pipe for this time I have bronchiextisist bronchitis ana asthma and at the minute ime trying my friends pipe at minute but how many times a day and how long it's this 20mins a time that's confusing

Breathe in through the pipe and breathe out without it, or you will contaminate the salt, making it damp and clump together. You could do the 20 mins in one stretch, or break it up 10 mins here and 10 mins there (less boring and easier).
You just inhale from the salt pipe do not breathe into the salt pipe. 20 mins per day is the reccomended norm.
