how to feel or detect breathing symptoms that start out slow what do i look for

can someone help or tell me what to look for im 2 yrs mild so far with little symptoms so how do i tell if its lungs or something else?

yes been to pulmomologist says in still have alot of airways and some emphysema was diagnosed mild did not get copy of spirometry getting that on its way now got hooked up with another appt with pulmomolgists for lung function tests to be givevn in 2 months im sneezing some too but no breathe issues yet i am sp petrified i dont want to have a panic attack will let you know what spirometry sdays also oxygen sat is 98%

I have moderate emphysema and didn't realise anything was wrong until I went up Mount Teide in Tenerife and had breathing problems near the summit (3500 metres). Usually I have few symptoms except for not being able to move as fast or push myself as much without getting pale and breathless. I take 2 inhalers: a reliever and a preventer.

There are many things you can do to help your condition and try to stop it from getting worse: stop smoking (if you do), take any medication you're given as advised, eat healthily, exercise (do a pulmonary rehab course if you are able to), avoid people with colds and other infections, avoid triggers (mine are exhaust fumes, fires, some scents and perfumes, cigarette smoke), wash your hands regularly and avoid playing with your hair and face. Other COPD people may suggest more.
