hi bobz

so sorry to hear that your hubby has been diagnosed with lung cancer....devastating news for both of you.

There is a website:

verywell.com/what-is-stage-...

that has a positive slant on understanding what stage 3 means....I hope you find it helpful.

But I know you will also get positives by posting here on the site, so please stay in touch.

Thank you so much for giving me the website info, it has been very enlightening. On checking my husband's last discharge paperwork I have discovered that he has, in fact, got Stage 4 which no one bothered to inform us about. At least I have a better understanding of the situation now. XX

I am so very sorry to here your terrible news about your husband diagnosis, I am sure you will already have a good specialist to give you all the advise and help with any questions you need to settle your minds, the only thing I do know through my own experience with friends and relatives who have had or has still got cancer is that certain cancers have different stages and that some go to stage 4, you need to sit with your consultant and ask him every worry or concern you have and I'm certain you will be give it. I'm preying for good results for his future treatment, and also for your support. Love Maureen x

Thank you for your support. We have indeed had good interaction with MacMillan. The consultant, however, has discharged us from his surgery as there is no treatment that can be given to my husband.

Apologies to you all for taking so long to reply but my husband has been in and out of hospital a number of times since my first post. Unfortunately he keeps getting infections of one sort or another and he is gradually deteriorating and losing his drive to fight anymore. It is heartbreaking to watch when he has always been such a vibrant person. Thanks again for all your kind comments. XX
