Gurgly stomach!

Does anyone else get a gurgly very loud stomach? I get this sometimes after food, sometimes after a coughing bout but also randomly.. It sometimes appears to go all the way down my throat after coughing and into my stomach it’s very odd! I assume maybe it’s air but sometimes it’s very embarrassing when I’m sat at work with a group of colleagues for example.

Termed “borborygmi,” bowel sounds seem loudest to those experiencing the sounds. However, most such noises are inaudible. Many people are unaware of them or at least unconcerned.

Yes they all find it amusing!! Mostly the adults around me don’t notice but when they do it’s very embarrassing!! 😳

Yes get it all the time, but I get IBS too so it's worse, IBS just comes in bouts though. It's the air too that doesn't help yes your right. Sometimes when we've been unwell and may be worrying it can cause mild tummy problems due to stress and that cause extra wind or gurgles. You'll find it more so when your tummy is empty, it's good idea to eat small amounts regularly.

I have stomach ulcer at moment so am really gurgly everytime my tummy is empty. The abs I was given Augmentin, I've never had before and it's not agreed with my tummy at all, my tummy is very delicate. Bloomin medication, now my cough has susbsided and I'm feeling much better now gotta get over bad tummy and liver ALP tests not right yet either due to the medication. Few weeks should see it all settle down. If it's not one thing it's another!

Why is it that when you have one health problem it seems to lead to others! All the medication has some many side effects too.. my husband often says he wonders what would happen if I stopped taking all the medication would I be better off or worse!?

Hope your stomach problems ease soon I’ve been there myself with abs that don’t agree with me I’ve found eating live yoghurt before each dose seems to help me x

You could try peppermint tea or liquorice tea. Both have mild natural properties which can ease digestion.
