Not sure what happened this year but I had a few worrying episodes-whilst outdoors this summer-sudden rapid heart rate and palpitations, short of breath, light headed, facial muscle twitching. I have experienced pollen irritation before but not these symptoms.
I read an article on histamine intolerance and it said that this can cause heart racing and muscle spasms etc. so I took my anti-histamines and it seemed to solve the problem, although at another outdoor event whilst on the anti-his, I experienced the heart rate increase again.
Had bloods/ecg=all fine. I take levothyroxine, am 61.
Anyone else had anything similar? my doctor just gives me a strange look when I mention histamine intolerance-hence the ecg/blood tests.

Im glad your tests were normal celticlady, good news. My respiratory nurse has said to me that this summer the conditions have caused a lot of complications for people with lung conditions. Early summer my sats plunged without any infection present, and lungs clear too, and I had to go back on ambulatory oxygen and increase my symbicort. My heart rate was up too and I had a 24 hour ecg which like yours was fine. I can see the sats recovering a bit now, though not back to where they were before. And heart rate is coming down. Always something more to cause problems, even when you think you're doing ok
Thank you for replying-not sure what sats are but glad you're getting sorted. I think ever since being diagnosed hypothyroid I've encountered so many issues-also just getting old! Also-never took HRT which a nurse informed me can mean not having thyroid problems...hindsight is a wonderful thing.
