A guy had his little dog with him and was practising on the golf range. He made a really good shot and the little dog sat up and frantically clapped it's paws together. Another golfer walking past said "That's amazing, does he always do that when you make a good shot?" The guy answered "Always." The other golfer said "Wow, fantastic, what does he do if you make a bad shot?" The guy said "He turns somersaults." The response was again "Wow." Followed by "How many somersaults does he turn?" The guy answered "Depends?" Other golfer "Depends? On what?" Gets the reply......"How hard I kick him up the backside."

Sorry Johnem ! I was finding the story very amusing until the final line and then I had my usual sense of humour transplant at the last sentence. The notion of kicking a dog - even as a line in a joke - is something I'm never going to find acceptable on any level. Most of us here are surgically bonded to our animals and the notion of a joke involving a human kicking an animal, is just not acceptable.
I know you only meant it as a joke and apologise for taking it seriously but some topics are just too serious not to mention.
Hi Billiejean, I must admit that it didn't occur to me that that particular part could offend and as an animal lover and long time Dogs Trust supporter who shares his life with two dogs and two cats, I am in full agreement with you regarding that point and must apologise to any that found it insensitive. It was purely intended to be a little knock at certain golfers losing it when making a bad shot.
