Copd temperature control

I really don't know if this is common but I've got emphysema and mild bronchiectasis and I'm finding that any exertion makes me sweat cobs. Does anyone else find this? I'm currently between chest infections and only on 'incruse '

Not uncommon.

Hi Pete, I find that I am always on the hot side, I am still surprised when others around me say they are feeling cold. We have to work harder just to breathe, hence we are warmer all the time. I personally, have not switched our heating on yet and still have the windows open when taking a bath. My partner has put the heating on a few times, on her days off and when taking a bath (with the windows closed). I also kick the quilt off me in my sleep too. I was a little concerned about the temp in my workshop last winter, where it does get very cold, but other than my hands, I was bodily toasty.

Nothing to be concerned about, all part of having a respiratory disease.

I'm finding that if I do almost anything I get really hot but otherwise I feel the cold more than others. Maybe it's just bloody male menopause on top of the rest of it!

I can empathise. I go from hot to cold in a. Nana second .

Me too! We always joke that my thermostat is faulty as I'm often cold when others are hot and vice versa. It can change in an instant. xx Moy

I have found since my change of life a few years ago that my temperature clock needs resetting. I am either too hot or too cold and I never know which it will be. Also I can feel very cold on the outside but inside I am very hot. Very strange.

What you experience is quite common, I actually get out of breath at the slightest exertion. You need to pace yourself and prepare or not do it at all.

Hi Pete, you are not alone, I have bronch and asthma and I am recovering from an infection, I cannot do anything without sweating. Even when well I sweat buckets every morning after my meds. I sympathise, it is awful. Take care Maximonkey
