I'm 52, drive 3 hours round-trip into London daily and 15 stone. Desperate to get down to 12. Any help would be great.

Hi plflood. This is the British Lung Foundation forum. Do you have a lung condition? There are other forums for other issues and if you are here about losing weight you may get more help from a weight loss community.

I give you my dietician ‘s diet if you have the willpower to go through with it. Seeing a dietician was a good idea, It is never easy but you will feel better for sure. A diet for life..

Cereal breakfast like 2 weetabix with 150ml of milk ( I have lactosefree milk as I am lactose intolerant) go for half/skimmed milk.

Break a fruit or a yoghurt

Lunch one portion meat or fish 100 to 150 gr and one portion of veg ( a portion of veg should hold in your hand) plus 3 tbsps of carbohydrates or a piece of bread

No dessert

Break a fruit or a yoghurt

Dinner as lunch but no carbo no fat

Take omega 3 fish oils 1 capsule a day

Take a multivitamin 1 a day

Good quality products like Solgar

1.5l to 2l of water a day not with meal

Little salt or sugar

Herbal teas as you wish

Green tea

1 black coffee that I said I wouldn’t give up! 😉

Good luck 🌺🌷🌸

Reduce carb intake. Carbs just love fat, they cling to it, create it and hold on to it. Its why they call them love handles, should be renamed carb handles. Main culprits, bread, rice, pasta, potatoes, biscuits, cakes, alcohol all high GI. You have to decide do you want to live longer, if so cut the carbs, you will also feel that you are living longer as well. Such is the cost. Boring I know. Exercise is good for lots of other things for mind and body, it is however on its own not much good for creating weight loss.
