Braltus capsules sucked into mouth
Are you ok now xx
How on earth did that happen ?
What happened very worrying hope you ok
Yes I'm ok but don't want to try a third time this morning
Sorry just breathed it in as normal
Dainty,How on earth did you manage to get the capsule out of the inhaler and into your thoat? hope is all well now and powder minus plastic is working on your airways...........skis
Guess what just tried it for the third time this morning I felt safer because I am with friends SAME thing happened again
I have just been prescribed Braltus have been changed over from Spiriva but am a little cautious about making the change are you aware of any side effects please
I thought the Braltus inhaler is really awkward to use (maybe why it's cheaper!) with opening the top and the bottom bit (hope you know what I mean - the bit you put the capsules into) really stiff. I don't know how a person with hand arthritis would manage it!
Once in the holder , punctured and used I have difficulty getting the empty capsule back out - resort to pins, needles anything to drag it out!
What I do like is the see-through capsule ... at least I know I got the dose unlike the Spiriva version.
I don't understand how you can suck them into your mouth if they are in the bottom holder?
Glad you're okay
My sentiments entirely y-not,i have tried to elicit that info from dainty without success?cheers
Maybe the inhaler is faulty the little gauze type bit that allows the powder out but keeps the capsule in might be broken that's the only way the capsule could come out unless it's been put in wrong 😳
Is there a special way of putting the capsule in
I have tried 3 times now I have a doc appointment next week will take it with me
Thank you for your reply about the Braltus inhailor. Sadly I am arthritic and have tried to open this with great difficulty. I am a little concerned as Tetrazzini mentioned the Hoarsness as a result of this medication. I get this from ventalin and have in the past lost my voice for around three months but I guess time will tell.
In reply to Y-not opening the inhailor is indeed a problem, I have compared this one with the one I had with my spiriva and will be trying the spiriva one in place of the supplied one.
I will let you know how I get on once I start using my new meds. Thank you all so much for your help it is invaluable.
