Can anybody please advise me.

Hi I would suggest you speak with your doctor and ask him if you are fit to fly that far and be guided by his advice.

My biggest sorry on long haul flights is picking up a chest infection!

I use 750mg of Ciprofloxatine the day before I fly on the day of flight and the first day after.Do the same on return, it usually works but not always....

I fly once a year to Melbourne and sometimes go to Canada. Melbourne is 23 hours and Canada 9. I take extra Aspirin for the week before I fly there and the same when I am coming back. Also because of my fear of flying I take a couple of prescribed Diazepam going and another two on the way back! I always have with me Vicks First Defence and use that as soon as I get on plane. Have not had any problems up to now but I suppose with COPD things can only get worse. In the meantime, I will just carry on doing it! Hope this is of some help to you. I am not on oxygen by the way so wouldn't have a clue what to do if I were. However, would still give it a try. Best wishes and have a good trip. Japan will be great!

My biggest problem is getting cheaper insurance!!!!!
