I saw the chest consultant on Tuesday I have bronchiectasis and am having immunoglobulin replacement therapy. For the last 9 weeks I have picked up Haemophilus and have been treat with co-amoxylclav and doxycycline to no avail.
Chest consultant thought I would be ok to have Azithromycin 3 times per week but I received a letter yesterday saying he thought I would be a good candidate for this however after receiving the Ecg results it would be to much of a risk. That's it end of letter so now what? Any suggestions? He's also testing me for Mac which I had 4 years ago.

If HI is still showing in your samples and the co-amox and doxy haven't done the trick, then I would have thought the first priority would be a change of antibiotic.
Sorry to hear about the Azith. There are a few abs used as a prophylactic. I was going to say Erythromycin but that is a macrolide, as is Azith, so probably the same risk to you. Some people take Doxy as a prophylactic.
You don't say if you are colonised with HI, if so some consultants will consider nebulised antibiotics eg Colomycin or Tobramycin. Unfortunately I can't tolerate Azith, Eryth, Col or Tobra but I hope you find something beneficial, especially if you are colonised.
Hi sorry to read about your issues .. I to have bronchiectasis and sre stones trow from having immunoglobulin therpy.
Currently my lung doctor getting on top of pneumonia vaccines turned out pneumonia BUGs hijacked my immunity IGM antibodies.
Anyway doctor give me kids pneumonia vacince NOT adult one AND gosh would not belive how ill made ME.
Made me think about my immunoglobulin treatment.
Currently kids pneumonia jab seems to have done the job but am far from prefect.
I belive stomach health plays big part in immunty AND have used them live bacteria pills to recolonize my guts thus helping with immunty after antibiitics gut inflamation sterolised my guts.
By giving me the children's pneumonia jab was how they found I had an immunity problem as they followed it with a blood test but no sign of the vaccine repeated it and the same happened.
