Hi Carol, I lived in Beirut which is just across the water for four years. October is usually quite nice because it isnt too hot. x

Hi littlepom, wow your are a gold mine of info, I went to Majorca 3 years ago not been abroad since as it scared me so much I could barely breath the whole week , my niece is getting married oct 20th and she is desperate for me to go but just wondered about the climate as I know some countries are better than others but don't really understand weather humidity etc xx

I had my daughter on Oct 26 in Beirut and I have pics of myself just in a dress with her but am pretty sure that the heat had gone by then. I can remember standing over the air conditioner in August. Of course with global warming anything could happen.

Hi. I've been in October and November, and it's a lovely time of year to visit. Very pleasantly warm with very comfortable evenings. XXX

I have read recently that Cyprus is good for breathing problems.

My mum lives in Cyprus, the weather will be better than here, that's for sure!!!! Should be warmer than here in the UK but shouldn't be too hot and humid, my mum says its a bit chilly in the evenings tho so make sure you take a jumper. :-)

I found Rhodes in October was lovely too, not hot, still sunny and warm, very pleasant.

It's the flights that I would worry about! Get a good mask with a filter and wear it! Don't worry about funny looks. A friend with asthma was recently told by an air stewardess it was a good idea because of the recycled air.
