Just curious I am from the U S and have been a member here since 2014, presently have a somewhat mild emphysema fev,76, so I still travel allot while I can. A few months ago there were about 30 of us americans in a travel group having a going home dinner and party at a nice little restaurant in Haifa Israel.. we having a great time laughing and singing etc etc. and the whole place lite up ( really fun time). and as we left the other people there mostly tourist also I think and some gave them high fives and hugs etc. and said we from all over the USA which was true. Some one some said a bunch of americans we should have known. I was kind of wondering do American tourist have a pretty raucus reputation in other parts of the world. Aslo just to say I have been lots of places, Africa. Europe etc. but I love Israel the best and I'm not even jewish. Really is a wonderful place to visit, little difficult cuz of the hot weather and very hilly terrain.

I think that sometimes Americans are deemed to be loud but that's not such a bad thing. Brits abroad can and do have a bad reputation at times. Glad you had a great time and thanks for the photo.

Enjoy life. Xxxxx

Hi there. Well this is funny. I see it from both sides. I do a lot of cruises. American ships have a much higher noise level over all and I do dread going into ports wihen several American ships are in with us. Having said that. I did an anniversary cruise on a famous liner a couple of years ago. There were a lot of Americans on board who had sailed over from New York. Thank goodness. They were out for a party and if it hadn't been for them the stiff and starchy snobbish Brits on that particular ship would have made the cruise a total pain.

I live in Stratford upon Avon and have helped in various heritage properties for 18 years. We find the Americans in general to be interested, fun and extremely polite. It is a jpy to enhance their experience. I could tell you which nation is by far the biggest pain in the butt but I don't intend to offend anybody.

Keep travelling!

Hopefully we will be leaving for Uganda Africa to visit and work with friends there. Nice country but a little more difficult for a older person to get around in. allot more rustic then some other places Ive been, still a great place to go.
