Hi Can anybody give advice about ordering oxygen in Cyprus under the EHIC scheme for a holiday. I have emailed the ministry of health in Cyprus but nobody seems to want to offer help.

Oxygen abroad under EHIC
Hi Dave,
Welcome to the forum. Some of our members with experience of this may be along soon with ideas for you. I'd suggest also that you call the BLF helpline (03000 030 555) on Monday. I'm sure someone there will be able to advise you.
Best wishes, Annie
Hi Dave,
I'm not sure about ordering oxygen for Cyprus but I'm off to Turkey in a couple of weeks and I've had to order mine from a private company over here which has cost me £690 in total but I get £350 back as my deposit. This is the cheapest I could find and it's for 2 weeks. The company is called nebulisers direct. They've been very helpful. If you don't need much oxygen I was told your allowed to take upto 3 canisters with you on the plane but it depends who your flying with. Have you had your flight assessment and ordered your oxygen for the flight ? Hope you get it all sorted. Good luck Wendy x
Hi Wendy, Thanks for that. I am not booking or doing anything until I have an answer on the oxygen under the EHIC arrangement. I should get the same treatment as a resident of Cyprus for oxygen under the EHIC arrangement but of course things are never easy. A lot of people don't realise that this arrangement exists. If you go to Spain there is a preprinted letter on the NHS choices website to send to Spain so you can have oxygen under this arrangement
Dave
Thanks again
