I was recently told by a functional medicine doctor that 3.5grams of Coq10 would help my breathing. Has anyone tried this ?

I have heard of others using CoQ10 though I haven't tried it myself. I believe it is quite expensive to buy.

Several clinical studies suggests that CoQ10 supplements help reduce swelling in the legs, reduce fluid in the lungs making breathing easier and increase exercise capacity in people with heart failure. But not all studies are positive, and some found no effect, so using CoQ10 remains controversial.

Hi It has to be taken via injection as coq10 does not get through the digestive tract in pill form It should be illegal to sell it in pill or capsule form as it is hardly absorbed at all. Therefore there would be no effect taken orally.

CoQ10 is certainly no "cure-all" but it DOES help.

You really should do your own research and not depend solely on the word of others; I, for instance, have been taking it for a couple of years and after stopping for a while. I noticed a downturn in energy and general well being, I immediately started back up...., but that doesn't mean it's right for you.

As far as it being "pricey", here in the USA, at Walmart, I get a bottle of 60 soft gels, 100 mgm, Ubiquinol Mega for around 22 dollars ( I have no idea what that translates to in other currencies).

I'm sending along a couple of links for your further investigation:
