Hi all. Can I ask you all a question ?

Do you ever get run down ? Since my diagnoses in January I have had 2 chest infections pleurisy and now my eye cyst has gotten infected. I'm fed up taking a/b I seem to be living off them now . Why does this happen is it my body crying out for attention or what.

Unfortunately yes I do and then it leaves you vulnerable to other infections. I went to the chemist and they recommended a good tonic. I can't remember what it was now but it did help. Might be worth having a chat with your local chemist and see what they say Hope you feel better soon x

YES! Short answer.

Long answer: infections, antibiotics, smoking, poor diet (I find it hard to make healthy food when I'm feeling really rubbish), drinking excess alcohol and the end of winter when our body runs out of essential vitamins IE Vit D3 from sunshine (sunshine over exposed body, not just the top of your head)! All the above deplete your immune system so there's nothing left. It can take weeks to recover.

I sympathise, I've just had a horrible thing flare up inside my lower eye lid, swollen n puffed up on the outside. It's like the last flipping straw when you look like you feel 😳

I take copious vitamins & minerals to rebuild my immune system, plus a very high, 20 billion of mixed good bacteria for at least 30 days after antibiotics, this helps to rebuild immunity as well as importantly replacing everything antibiotics destroy in your gut. I've found over the last 3 years I recover better & faster.

Did you supply a sputum sample to ensure you've been given the correct antibiotic for the infection?

All the best to you. P
